Expert's opinions

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
This spectacular wine exhibits a dark rubypurple color and offers a nose that calls to mind a chocolate milk-shake in which cherry syrup has been poured. This is a massive, super-thick, hugely concentrated and extracted wine. It is powerfully-flavored (plums, prunes, and cherries drenched in chocolate), intense, dense, and prodigiously long. I am ecstatic about this domaine's progress. Bravo!

Trapet Père et Fils is a French wine estate that produces Burgundy winesBurgundy Premier Cru and Burgundy Grand Cru. Founded in 1919 and located in the town of Gevrey-Chambertin, the Jean Trapet Père et Fils estate rose to the top during the 20th century. The family estate extends over more than 15 hectares of vineyards, including 13.5 in Pinot Noir for red wines and 1.5 in Chardonnay for white wines.

The estate's vines are 35 years old on average and the harvest is carried out by hand in accordance with winegrowing traditions. The estate is famous for its three Burgundy grand cruChambertin, Chapelle-Chambertin and Gevrey-Chambertin.

The wines of the Trapet Père et Fils estate are well kept.
