Jean-Marc Quarin March - 1995
Jean-Marc Quarin
Bordeaux red color. Medium intensity. Evolved. Nose of medium intensity. Note of dead leaves. Slightly vegetal. Some fruit. Cigar box. Raspberry on aeration. Strawberry. On swirling, slightly heavy. Wet wool. Soft attack. Light and refined structure, which evolves smoothly on well-balanced, flavorful, textured tannins that are still very present. Beautiful licorice persistence and subtle. Once again difficult to spit out. Fine wine lingering on blackcurrant and a smoky note. Worth noting only 12.1° alcohol. This shows how much the majority of Bordeaux crus have changed, upwards, over the past 20 years.
