Quite successful in this very uneven rain-plagued vintage, the 1964 Grand-Puy-Lacoste offers robust, chunky, generous black currant flavors, a substantial, plump, rustic texture, good length, and sizable weight. It is now fully mature, but has the requisite depth to last for another 5-7 years.

Château informations
Château Grand-Puy Lacoste is a Bordeaux wine estate. Classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Médoc classification, the Château has no less than hectares of vines.
The château also produces a second wine: Lacoste-Borie. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and of course Merlot grape varieties.
The outstanding years of Château Grand-Puy Lacoste are undoubtedly 1947, the 1949 wines, the vintages 1959, 1970, and 1982. Finally, the vintages 1986, 1990, the 1994 wines and 2009 grand crus are excellent.
