Loads of cassis and tobacco aromas and flavors. Has a full body yet is still refined with fine integrated tannins and a long finish.

The great wine of Chateau Duhart-Milon is often described as a classical model of pure Pauillac appellation, it presents a "distinction aside finesse". The appreciation of the broker Abraham Lawton, 1815 "... it comes with great firmness, color and good sap quite pronounced," is an illustration of the continuing nature of Chateau Duhart-Milon (the "sap" of the first growths of the Medoc is beautifully defined as "something of the burning smell that pours the best sealing wax").
