Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
After tasting it three times from bottle, I am convinced this prodigious wine is one of the greatest young Bordeaux I have ever tasted. Inky blue/purple with notes of camphor, forest floor, blackberry, cassis, sweet cherries, licorice, the wine has stunning aromatics, unctuous texture and an almost inky concentration, but without any hard edges. With considerable tannin and just enough acidity to provide definition, this wine transcends even its premier grand cru classe terroir. It is certainly the finest Clos Fourtet ever produced. Give it 5-7 years of cellaring to allow some of its baby fat to fall away. There is certainly enough structure underneath to keep for 30-50 years. Bravo!

Deep robe with garnet reflections. Concentrated fruity nose of jammy red fruits. Full and warm palate with a refined texture framed by power. Harmonious but quite simple. Good length with an attractive fusion of fruit and oak.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Silky, pure, fresh, ripe, concentrated and loaded with opulently textured, ripe, deep fruits, this is delicious. Full bodied, lush and mouth filling, the wine serves up licorice, smoke, spice box, plums, cherries, earth and herbs with ease.

Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
Dense ruby. Wow, what a nose — a glorious aromatic portrait, a whole basket of red and dark berries, herbs, leather, tea, smoke, floral notes, very complex. On the palate fleshy and round, great pressure, great body, great finesse; the wine displays power and elegance, offering a very long finish. Already a pleasure to drink today and with very good reserves. Exotic, yet excellent.

Falstaff January - 2023
Falstaff
Dark ruby with violet reflections and a delicate brightening at the rim. On the nose, aromas of fine blackberry jam, black cherry and a hint of nougat, underpinned by nuances of red berries and candied orange peel. On the palate, juicy with a sweet texture, mineral and complex; with a fine, layered spiciness and notes of ripe plum in the long, saline finish.

Dark, youthful crimson. Sweet, gentle, well-balanced nose. Fairly lightweight but with great charm and balance. For classicists. This still has something to give. Impressive persistence.
