Château Beychevelle is a fourth classified grand cru (classification of Medoc wines of 1855) of the Saint-Julien appellation. Located on the left bank of the Médoc, the vineyard includes 92 hectares of vines. The vines are around 30 years old and benefit from reasoned treatment. Château Beychevelle is a classic Saint-Julien: roundness, rich aromas, and power. The classic harmony of the greatest Médoc, which deserves much more than the fourth cru of the 1855 classification.
The best vintages of Beychevelle are undoubtedly 1982 and the vintage 1986. The wines of 1989, 2000 and grands crus of 2005 are equally exceptional. Finally, Château Beychevelle has also produced great vintages such as 2009, 2010 and the 2015 vintage.

(03-2000) Fragrant, refreshing, 'cedar pencils' nose ; rich, fruit, agreeable body, a touch of gritiness mid-palate, dry finish.
(01-1998)Well-crafted red. Vivid blackberry and violet aromas and flavors. Full-bodied and very silky, with lovely tannins and a medium aftertaste of fruit and toasted oak.
(02-2017) Firm, almost strict, classic, four square style of wine, with a tannic edge. There is plenty of tobacco, earth, forest, cassis, cedar wood and cranberry to go around, but the wine does have a very austere character. this wine is going to please some folks more than others.
(01-2005)
(02-1998) This wine performed better from cask. Out of bottle, it displays a medium ruby color, and a distinctive nose of underbrush, damp earth, and loamy-tinged black currant fruit. Moderately tannic, with medium body and some angularity, this wine possesses good extract, but not much soul or character
