Château Haut-Marbuzet is a Bordeaux wine estate. Located in the commune and appellation of Saint Estephe. In 1952, the estate started with only 7 hectares of vines, today the vineyard has 76 hectares of vines with mainly the following grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Even though it is not included in the official classification of Médoc classified growths, Haut Marbuzet rises to the highest level of its appellation, with very high-quality wines. This is why it is one of the most appreciated châteaux of the Saint Estephe appellation. In June 2003, Château Haut-Marbuzet was classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel during the revision of the Cru Bourgeois classification. Finally, the estate also produces a second wine called 'Château Mc Carthy'.
The wines are charming, elegant and full of finesse. The best vintages are 1945, 1947, 1983 and the 1982 vintage. You can also favor the Haut-Marbuzet 1983 and Château Haut-Marbuzet 2009.

Founded in 1770, Château Haut-Marbuzet is one of the oldest estates in its appellation. However, it only achieved success in 1952 when Hervé Duboscq acquired the Château. From 1962, his son Henri joined him and produced wines with a personalized, silky style that surprised in the traditionally classic context of Saint-Estèphe.
The harvest is done by hand, with a very strict selection of ripe to very ripe grapes. The vinification is conducted with traditional equipment: concrete or wooden vats temperature-controlled by heat exchanger. The aging is done in 100% new barrels for 18 months. Special care is taken in choosing the barrels for each vintage.
