Tom Cannavan
Lovely light, elegant botrytis nose of honey and orange-blossom. Silky and full of sweet peach fruit, then excellent grapefruit acidity. Long and very good indeed.

Château La Tour Blanche

Château La Tour Blanche is a Bordeaux wine estate that produces sweet white wines. Made from the traditional Sauternes grape varieties, Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle, this wine is the result of strict selection. The Château La Tour Blanche harvest is carried out through successive "passes" requiring 5 to 6 passes through the same row, to obtain only the best of Noble Rot.

Premier Cru Classé from Sauternes, each vintage of Château La Tour Blanche is vinified and aged in entirely new French oak barrels, and is kept for 20 to 24 months. However, the extreme quality policy at Château La Tour Blanche has led to certain vintages deemed merely passable not being bottled. This was the case for the 1992, 1993 and 2000 vintages. The average annual production is 40,000 bottles.
