Information on the vintage 1948 red Bordeaux : A good enough vintage though largely ignored by the trade as it sat so uncomfortably between the great 1947 and 1949 vintages. Some of the wines had an agressive masculinity and lacked charm, others had a more dextrous fragrance.

The Château Suduiraut is an area of 200 ha including 92 ha of vineyards from Bordeaux in the Sauternes region, in the town of Preignac on soil composed mainly of sandy-clay serious, which produces a sweet white wine vintage Start.
First cru classé of Sauternes, it is considered by many to be one of the best Sauternes. The wines of Château de Suduiraut are among the greatest Sauternes. His longevity is exceptional. As we age, the aromas of candied fruit will slowly above the aromas Agum found the early years. The area recommended to decant older vintages to exalt the perfume. The Château also produce a seecond wine: Castelnau de Suduiraut.
