A delicious, yet chunky, four square sort of wine, the 1964 Pichon Lalande continues to evolve in the bottle. It exhibits an appealing black currant and herb-scented, earthy, spicy, almost Graves-like bouquet. In the mouth, the wine has soft, nicely endowed, ripe flavors that have reached full maturity.
Solid wine for the vintage, exhibiting lovely aromas of mocha and berries. Full-bodied, with sweet berry and milk chocolate character. Impressive, considering the rain that fell during the harvest.
