(02-2001) Dark red color. Good intensity. Slight evolution. The first truly dark. Nose of medium intensity. Fruity. "Humid". Intense agitation. Fruity. Creamy! Some wine ! Soft attack. Structure of medium to good density, evolving fruity with quite a bit of taste, towards a firm finish showing a lack of maturity and a little green, very old-fashioned tannin. Nevertheless, there is aroma. Wine more rustic than dry!
4/5 Information on the vintage 1988 red Bordeaux : The first of a trio of very good vintages and the penultimate vintage of a more than interesting decade. This very good vintage is undervalued; but in the end, time and tannin will be jostling for supremacy.
