(08-2011) This magnificent Lynch Bages has been drinking well since the day it was released and it continues to go from strength to strength. The biggest, richest, fullest-bodied Lynch Bages until the 2000, the fully mature 1990 exhibits an unbelievably explosive nose of black currants, cedarwood, herbs and spice. The majestic, classically Bordeaux aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, voluptuously textured, rich, intense wine with superb purity as well as thrilling levels of fruit, glycerin and sweetness.

(06-2023) Superb nose of candied blackcurrant, grilled spices, Havana, undergrowth. On the palate, great depth, full-bodied and rich, fat, aromatic strength that carries through to the finish, framed by tannins that will tarnish the wine for a long time to come.

(05-2001) Still deeply coloured; a whiff of menthol; good flesh and flavour.

(11-2021) I am lucky to taste this as often as I do because I love it! Combining the naturally stoic character of Pauillac with layer after of ripe red currants, cigar box, tobacco leaf, smoke, spice, and wet forest floor, the wine remains full, rich, and dense, yet there is a regal edge to its character that makes this such a turn on. At close to 32 years of age, this is drinking at its peak, where it should remain for at least another 15-20 more years, if well stored, and maybe longer!

Château Lynch Bages

Château Lynch-Bages produces fifth classified growths of Médoc in the 1855 classification and a second wine called Echo de Lynch-Bages which is not classified. Under the Pauillac appellation, the Château Lynch-Bages vineyard covers more than 1,200 hectares.

The wine of Chateau Lynch-Bages is in line with the great Pauillac. Composed mostly of Cabernet Sauvignon, it combines structure and finesse, elegance and longevity. It is also distinguished by its wealth. Generous in his youth, he played in his maturity to more flavor and complexity. The style of wine Chateau Lynch-Bages refined over the years, gaining flexibility and softness, while regular wine settles in time.

Until today, Chateau Lynch-Bages is characterized by its extraordinary standard of quality. Powerful, sleek and open, the wine vintage after vintage acquires greater accuracy, combining the distinction in nature, which bases its hedonistic personality.
