La Revue du Vin de France
Very dense robe, aromatic blossoming on roasted fruit, vanilla spices, graphite, pine notes. Palate still a little tight, fleshy, deep material, powerful tannins still very young, marked freshness that balances and lengthens this solar vintage.

Bright ruby. Deep nose, dark fruity, with many floral notes above, very playful, highly complex, fascinating. The palate is straightforward, shows a certain fullness, powerful in body, yet remains feather-light, expansive, crisp fruit, the tannins are of very good quality, the acidity is perfectly balanced. The finish is long-lasting, dark fruity, ending on smoky retro aromas.

Gilbert & Gaillard March - 2010
Gilbert & Gaillard
Intense robe with violet-blue reflections. Deep nose revealing a wealth of aromas: black fruits, sweet licorice, graphite, subtle oak. On the palate, monumental concentration and power with tannins that remain remarkably melted. A superlative wine.

Surprisingly forward for Lynch Bages, as they are usually one of the last wines to open up. But 2009 already displays fabulous character with its layers of ripe, blackberries, black currants, lead pencil, cedar chest, and tobacco notes. Full-bodied, round, concentrated, and with a polish to its tannins, this is already starting to come around.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The medium to deep garnet colored 2009 Lynch Bages is boldly scented of crème de cassis, blackberry pie and baked plums with chocolate box, incense and underbrush suggestions plus a waft of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, taut and well sustained in the mouth, it has a firm, grainy texture and a lively backbone lifting the black fruit core to a nice long finish.

Wine Enthusiast January - 2012

A dense, immense, solidly powerful wine. The ripest fruit overflows, paralleling the dark, solid tannins. As so often, Lynch-Bages is a blockbuster, dark and concentrated, with immense aging potential.

Château Lynch Bages
Château Lynch Bages

Château Lynch-Bages is one of the great names of the Pauillac appellation, classified as a Fifth Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Located on the historic plateau of Bages, in the heart of the Médoc, this wine has embodied for several generations the controlled power and qualitative consistency that make the reputation of great Bordeaux wines.

The history of Château Lynch-Bages begins in the 18th century with the Lynch family, of Irish origin, before the property was acquired in the 20th century by the Cazes family. Since the acquisition by Jean-Charles Cazes in 1939, then under the impetus of Jean-Michel Cazes and today Jean-Charles Cazes, the estate has continuously strengthened its identity and international reputation. This family continuity is a central element of Château Lynch-Bages' uniqueness.

The vineyard sits on deep Garonne gravel, ideally drained, an emblematic terroir of Pauillac, particularly favorable to Cabernet Sauvignon, the predominant grape variety in the blend. It gives birth to structured, refined wines built for aging, combining aromatic intensity, tannic precision and finesse.

Vintages such as Château Lynch-Bages 1982, Château Lynch-Bages 1995, Château Lynch-Bages 2000, Château Lynch-Bages 1989, Château Lynch-Bages 2009 or Château Lynch-Bages 2010 illustrate the remarkable consistency of the estate and its essential status among the collectible wines of Pauillac.
