Jean-Marc Quarin June - 2009
Jean-Marc Quarin
Tasted blind and decanted. Dark color, evolved, clean nose, precise, pure, very fruity. Mouth sweet, fruity, tasty, medium body, but particularly well balanced. Very tasty, the wine finishes on a normal length, but especially with a real impossibility to spit it so much it is well adjusted to the mouth. A great success of the property.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Medium bodied, lighter style of Lynch Bages, with a fruity, soft, vibrant, cassis, cherry and cranberry character. There is a really nice, spicy note, that adds even more freshness to the red berry finish. Drink this now, while waiting for the far better, 2000 vintage to develop. The wine was made from a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
This dense rubypurple-colored 1999 is a modern day clone of this estate's wonderful 1962. The 1999 reveals forward, open-knit notes of creme de cassis and earth. It is fleshy, medium to full-bodied, and succulent, with supple tannin, excellent balance, as well as a long, pure, ripe finish.

Mid crimson. Sweet and lifted. Easy. A bit jagged. The acidity dominates. Can't see how anyone will ever swoon over this, though it is certainly perfectly serviceable.

One is rarely disappointed; indeed I usually have a tingle of anticipation. Typically spicy fruit.

Château Lynch Bages
Château Lynch Bages

Château Lynch-Bages produces fifth classified growths of Médoc in the 1855 classification and a second wine called Echo de Lynch-Bages which is not classified. Under the Pauillac appellation, the Château Lynch-Bages vineyard covers more than 1,200 hectares.

The wine of Chateau Lynch-Bages is in line with the great Pauillac. Composed mostly of Cabernet Sauvignon, it combines structure and finesse, elegance and longevity. It is also distinguished by its wealth. Generous in his youth, he played in his maturity to more flavor and complexity. The style of wine Chateau Lynch-Bages refined over the years, gaining flexibility and softness, while regular wine settles in time.

Until today, Chateau Lynch-Bages is characterized by its extraordinary standard of quality. Powerful, sleek and open, the wine vintage after vintage acquires greater accuracy, combining the distinction in nature, which bases its hedonistic personality.
