Mid to deep crimson with a hint of blue, still. High toned, scented but obviously very dry. No-compromises bordeaux. This is not trying to get a score. This is just how it came out that year. Bone dry and still work in progress with quite marked tannins still.

Beautiful dark red. Good intensity. Clean. Fine. It is beginning to evolve delicately towards coffee. Round, juicy and medium to good bodied, but offering a captivating character, particularly through an underlying fatty sensation. Coated and long tannicity. This is very good and worth keeping.

The Langoa and Léoville Barton châteaux have the great privilege of being located right at its heart. Langoa Barton is almost at the highest level of Médoc growths. However, Langoa Barton never appears to be the most concentrated, powerful, or impressive of wines: no, Langoa Barton is always one of the most civilized and balanced, reflecting this family that straddles two great and ancient cultures.
