Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The 1982 Haut-Marbuzet continues to offer immensely compelling drinking today, wafting from the glass with an exotic bouquet of blackberries, dried fruits, black truffles, mocha, cigar box and rich soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, supple and concentrated, with an enveloping core of fruit, ripe acids and a long, sapid finish, it is an utterly delicious wine.

. A beautiful, sexy red. Dark ruby with a slightly garnet hue. Lovely floral, berry and spice aromas. Full-bodied, with lovely silky tannins and a fruity, complex aftertaste

Very nice surprise in this top Marbuzet 1982. The tannins are melted, but the wine remains well balanced, with a silky texture, a mid-palate still present and a finish full of charm. Thank you to the famous blue clays… Happiness bottled more than 40 years ago and which is now spreading!

Château Haut Marbuzet

Château Haut-Marbuzet is a 61-hectare wine estate owned by the Duboscq family, located in Saint-Estèphe. It is a Médoc AOC and is classified as an exceptional Cru Bourgeois. The work of the Duboscq family has made Château Haut-Marbuzet a wine of the highest quality among Saint-Estèphe wines. Château Haut Marbuzet is also full of charm in its youth, developing wonderful spicy notes and red fruit aromas. Considered by some as the most Burgundian of Bordeaux wines, Château Haut Marbuzet was designated as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel during the revision of the Crus Bourgeois classification in June 2003.
