Clear garnet with some bricking towards the transparent rim. A very fine nose with sous bois and some animal notes. On the palate dried fruit, leather. Tannins completely resolved. Acidity is providing freshness. Medium length.

The great wine of Chateau The Gospel is described in an old edition of "Great Wines of Bordeaux" (published Dussaut) such as "... full of wine, elegant with a bouquet and finesse incomparable". For many fans, the quality and subtle elegance is indeed the mark of this wine. Grapes partners in wine: 80-90% Merlot, 10-20% Cabernet Franc. Duration of aging in oak barrels: 18 months 70% new oak. Average annual production: 2 000-3 000 cases per year. . After a winter cold and wet, high temperatures in March and in April has encouraged the start of vegetation. Then, a long gray period, temperate, not excessive, lasted until August, requiring increased technical supervision. The weather has stabilized in early September and eventually promote peace and good ripening grapes. This vintage is characterized by one year to 13 moons and a longer growing season than normal. .
