This bottle was stil a live , 76 was dead ! the Chmpgn had no bubbles anymore ( was also a wine glass) and a little madeirisé , but stil nice and sweet, don(t forget this bottle is 60 years old...some tabac and mushrooms in the nose, earthy also and in the mouth it was sweet and more like a dessert wine !

More like a still wine with very little bubbles - on the palate this vintage is biscuity and toasty. Full bodied, generous and delicious as an aged still white.

Dom Perignon
Dom Perignon

Dom Pérignon is a legendary Champagne House and one of the most renowned in the world. In 1668, a young Benedictine monk, Dom Pierre Pérignon, was appointed procurator at the Abbey of Hautvillers. With the ambition to produce the "best wine in the world", he was deeply inspired and his vision revolutionized viticulture with standards that remain the reference for all champagne wines. The House's commitment is that champagnes can only be produced from a single year's harvest.

Dom Pérignon's productions were highly prized at that time. After Dom Pérignon's death, the price decreased somewhat, but not its popularity. The 1921 vintage is undoubtedly the best vintage. Dom Pérignon champagnes have very long aging potential.
