(9-1999) The color is light but still quite red despite some traces of evolution. The nose is simple, a little earthy. The agitation shows an imperfectly ripe Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of leaves and tea. The mouth offers a more pleasant character where the approach is melted, lovable, straight structure. However, decantation is very flattering. The wine is getting purer. It does not offer a great material but its melted style gives it the advantage of an early tasting. Slender style with a nice aroma on the finish.

(01-1996) Attractive berry, wet earth aromas and flavors, medium body, medium silky tannins and fresh finish.

Château informations
Branaire Ducru
Banaire Ducru is on a parcel of 50 hectares located on the gravel soil of Beychevelle, Chateau Ducru-Branaire is now a landmark in St. Julien. The cru is prized for its pure red fruit. Its typical composition of Cabernet Sauvignon in the majority, and Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, opens with bright aromas of raspberry and blackberry, before becoming more complex on the palate with delicate nuances of mineral, pencil lead, smoke and spring flowers. This wine of exemplary quality differs from its famous neighbor by its originality: tasting reveals inevitably, under the red fruit and elegant tannins, a touch of spice and chocolate aroma rare in this appellation.
