Château Latour À Pomerol

Château Latour à Pomerol. After establishing itself in the 40s, 50s, and 60s as one of the most sumptuous Bordeaux wines, Latour à Pomerol went through a difficult period, producing only very good, but not exceptional wines in the following 3 decades. In recent years, the estate has improved and rejoined the group of the top twenty Pomerol wines. In style, it is more reminiscent of Trotanoy or La Fleur Petrus, to which it was generally compared during its glory days. The wines of Latour à Pomerol are remarkably colored and dark, and generally stand out as powerful, opulent, and fleshy Pomerols. The vineyard consists of 2 plots, one of which is located near the Pomerol church on a bed of deep gravel, and the other, smaller one, on a sandier and lighter soil.
