Still surprisingly dark purple in colour. After an hour or so in a decanter it opened up beautifully. In fact my initial impression was 'wow.' Velvety smooth in texture, quite long. Sweet decay starting to creep in, and a whiff of liquorice...undeniably very mature. But delicious in its way. A treat.
