The color is poor and it seems even older than it is on the nose, too. That said, it is in a fine place now and the fruit is simply wonderful. Beautifully balanced, enticingly complex and graceful, this doesn't show a lot of concentration, but it is fresh enough for the moment and quite delicious. There is something to be said for encountering a wine at the right moment. I wouldn't try to hold this for a long while, but it won't fall off the table. Winemaker Ana Rosas also questioned how well it would age--so, dive in.
