Strong bricking though still with a small ruby core. A small amount of volatile acidity is noticeable but not really enough to significantly detract from the otherwise highly complex and very earthy sous bois and spice dominated nose. The delicious and impressively concentrated big-bodied flavors are still quite serious with excellent richness and ample power, all wrapped in a mouth coating and hugely long finish. A striking effort that has still has plenty of life left.
