Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The 1986 is a complex and elegant wine, with plenty of smoky almonds, peaches, and honeyed apricot fruit in the nose and flavors. Jean-Marc Quarin February - 1990
Jean-Marc Quarin
Golden yellow color with sustained green highlights, very bright. Intense nose, fairly massive, with a dominant almond paste note. Hints of chocolate and rum. Very clear on swirling. Fairly intense, but impenetrable. Then evolves toward finer notes of acacia. Closed. Supple attack, fairly dense and quick. Development on an oval-shaped structure, powerful and unctuous, enlivened by a more acidic note on the finish. Very good fruity persistence but lacking finesse and harmony at this stage.
