Domaine Barons De Rothschild Rieussec
Château Rieussec is a Bordeaux wine estate located in Fargues in the Gironde. The estate exclusively produces sweet white wines. The vast 85-hectare vineyard consists of Sauvignon Blanc (7%), Sémillon (90%) and Muscadelle (3%). The average age of the vines is 35 years. In the Sauternes appellation, it is classified as a Premier Cru Classé in the 1855 classification.
The wines of Château Rieussec are rich, powerful, extremely refined and of very high quality. The Château's wines are undoubtedly the most sought-after sweet wines after Yquem. The greatest vintages are 1929, 1955, 1957 and 1959. We also recommend the Château Rieussec 1976 for tasting.

In 1984, Château Rieussec got a new owner: Baron Eric de Rothschild, who fell in love with the estate and its wines. He would be the one to implement everything necessary to elevate the quality of the wines.
