Historically, the wines at Pontet-Canet belong to the legend of the Medoc. Deep ruby, purple, sometimes black, Pontet-Canet wine develops a characteristic nose with a mix of black fruit, especially blackcurrants, licorice, plum, hints of figs, cedar and some cocoa. At the tasting, the wine combines power and elegance, density and amplitude. From a muscular nature, it imposes a sense of serene classicism with the tannic structure that reveals a long and peaceful custody. Men Pontet-Canet are constantly continuing their work there are now more than three centuries, making, each time the most advanced techniques with an eternal desire to improve the quality of wine in the respect and the purest expression of terroir. The wine of Pontet-Canet, and the second wine, Les Hauts de Pontet-Canet, are exclusively sold by traders in the Bordeaux.

(01-1998) An elegant, tasty, stylish wine, the 1985 Pontet-Canet is well colored, with a moderately intense black currant, toasty oak bouquet. While not nearly as concentrated as the 1986, it should still evolve nicely.
