Château Lynch Moussas

Château Lynch-Moussas is a Bordeaux wine estate. In the Pauillac appellation, the Château is a Fifth Growth Classified Growth.

The name Lynch-Moussas comes from the division of Count Lynch's property into Lynch-Moussas and Lynch-Bages in the 19th century, Moussas being the location of a large part of the vineyard. The Castéja family, owner of Château Lynch-Moussas since the 16th century in Pauillac, acquired this château at the beginning of the 20th century. It was only in 1970 that Emile Casteja inherited it and took over its management. He immediately set about restoring this property to its former glory. Since 2001, his son Philippe Casteja has taken over the reins of the left bank properties. The year 2001 saw the birth of the Château's second wine, Les Hauts de Lynch-Moussas. Château Lynch-Moussas is one of the few family-owned properties to be distributed through the Bordeaux marketplace.
