Dark red color. Good intensity. Fairly homogeneous. Slight evolution. Nose of medium intensity. Discreet. More intense when swirled. Candied fruits. Resin. Tar. Fairly complex. Soft attack, developing with good and fairly juicy concentration. The wine evolves with richness, always flavorful, towards a finish with a taste of resin and cooked fruits. Good spicy persistence. Beautiful wine, but somewhat austere in its final tannin. Can be drunk or kept.

Château Belgrave

Château Belgrave is a wine estate located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc in the Gironde department. Situated in the Haut-Médoc AOC, it is classified as a fifth growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

Across its 60 hectares of vineyards, Château Belgrave boasts a remarkable diversity of soils. The two mounds are composed of gravel and pebbles deposited by the Garonne River thousands of years ago, resting on a clay subsoil. These soils have the unique characteristic of promoting the maturity of later-ripening grape varieties such as Cabernets (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc) and Petit-Verdot (3%).

The best vintages of Château Belgrave are the 1979 vintage, the 1982 wines, 1997 classified growths, and the 1998 grand cru wines.
