Château Belgrave is a Bordeaux wine estate located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc in the Gironde region. It produces wines in the Haut-Médoc AOC that are classified as a fifth growth grand cru classé in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. Among the 60 hectares of vines in the vineyard, Château Belgrave has a remarkable diversity of soils. The two hillocks are composed of gravel and pebbles deposited by the Garonne river thousands of years ago, resting on a clay subsoil. These soils have the particularity of promoting the maturity of later-ripening grape varieties such as Cabernets (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc) and Petit-Verdot (3%).

For tasting or gifting, we recommend Château Belgrave 1980, Belgrave 1989 as well as Château Belgrave 1990. Finally, Château Belgrave 1996 and Château Belgrave 2000 are of very high quality.
