The Château Belgrave, is a vineyard located in Saint-Laurent-Medoc in the Gironde region. It is a fifth growth in the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855. Of the 60 hectares of vines on the estate, Château Belgrave has a remarkable diversity of soil.
The two ridges are composed of gravel and pebbles deposited by the Garonne River several thousands of years ago that rests on a sub-clay base. These soils foster maturity of the grape varieties that mature later such as the Cabernets (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc 5%) and Petit Verdot (3%).
The best vintages of Château Belgrave are 1979, the wines of 1982, grands crus classés of 1997 and the grands crus of 1998.
