Château Lascombes

Château Lascombes

Château Lascombes is a wine estate located in Margaux, Gironde. In the Médoc AOC, it is classified as a second growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The 50-hectare vineyard of Château Lascombes (55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot) benefits from deep gravel soils. The Château Lascombes estate practices green harvesting every year to improve wine quality by achieving greater concentration. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation of Merlots in barrels. The wine is aged for 18 months in 60% new oak barrels, followed by egg white fining.

We recommend the Château Lascombes 1966, Château Lascombes 1982, as well as the Château Lascombes 1989, which is particularly noteworthy.
