 Very lively deep crimson. Underneath the reduction there is very concentrated fruit. Very firm and masculine but with lovely fluidity. So appetising. Great attack. Firm and palate tanning. Spicy but not at all sweet. Very fine and dancing. Not as ‘big’ as Bonnes Mares but more refined.

Domaine Roumier is an estate that produces Burgundy wines. Founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, then taken over in the early 1980s by Christophe Roumier who had joined his father Jean-Marie Roumier. Located in the commune of Chambolle-Musigny, the estate spans nearly 12 hectares of vineyards.

The harvest is traditionally carried out by hand and the grape varieties produced are Pinot Noir for red wines and Chardonnay for white wines. Domaine Roumier is not certified organic and does not seek the label, however, it does not use any chemical products in its vineyards.

The limestone and clay-limestone soils favor and characterize the domain's terroir. Domaine Roumier produces five Burgundy Grand Crus: Bonnes-Mares, Musigny, Charmes-Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, and Corton-Charlemagne in white wine.

The star wine of Domaine Roumier is the Musigny Grand Cru. A wine with growing notoriety from the Côte de Nuits.
