Founded in the early 1980s by Marlène Soria on the heights of Saint-Pargoire, Domaine Peyre Rose is among the most unique names in the Languedoc. Farmed organically on a limestone and clay garrigue, it makes Syrah its master grape variety and stands out for aging its wines for eight to ten years prior to release. Its two flagship red cuvées, Les Cistes and Belle Léone, long associated with the AOP Coteaux du Languedoc, are complemented by the cuvée Marlène and a rare white wine, Oro.
Great vintages punctuate the estate's history, from the fully mature 1998 to the more recent 2012 vintage, 2014 vintage, and 2016, all driven by a spicy, deep Syrah built for aging.
