The Mommessin estate is located in the south of Burgundy. Founded in 1865 in Mâcon, the Mommessin estate has mainly developed in Beaujolais, where it has become one of the jewels. From this double lineage, Mommessin wines have drawn their exceptional character, resulting from a meeting between the quest for excellence which characterizes Burgundy and the explosion of taste which makes Beaujolais great.
Mommessin wines combine suppleness and aromas, for a result that is at the same time rich, colorful, tender and silky: wines combining tradition and exception. The estate is obsessed with the quality of its wines, which is why it selects the finest plots and the best grapes to achieve excellence. The Mommesin estate also works to respect nature and is developing its eco-responsible dimension, in particular by restricting the use of phytosanitary products and regular monitoring of yields.

Good quality and quantity. Not great but stylish. My kind of wine. The summer was not particularly good though the weather improved at the end of August. September was sunny and balmy, with a little rain to swell the grapes, the harvest starting at the end of the month in exceptionally fine conditions.
