The Domaine des Lambrays is an estate located in the Côte de Nuit, in the heart of Burgundy in Morey Saint-Denis. This estate mainly produces red wine and has nearly 11 hectares of vineyards. The grape varieties produced and harvested there are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate is particularly renowned thanks to its Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru, of which it has a virtual monopoly.
Domaine des Lambrays is considered one of the best producers of Burgundy wines. The estate's vines are 60 years old. Some of these vines even reach 90 years of age and are still active. The young vines are devoted to Premier Cru Domaine des Lambrays Cuvée Les Loups in Morey-Saint-Denis. The work of the vines remains traditional: the vineyards of the estate are plowed on horseback and the harvest is carried out by hand. Aware of its environmental impact, the estate cultivates its vineyard in sustainable agriculture and turns to biodynamics.

The medium to full-bodied 2002 Clos des Lambrays sports a nose of freshly laid asphalt, spices, and blackberries. Rich, waxy, and firm, its character offers flavors reminiscent of blackberries, cassis, mocha, chocolate, tar, and licorice. Its firm yet ripe personality will repay patience.
Powerful, opulent and densely packed with black cherry, leather, licorice and spice, this is classy and transmits its terroir. Its rich profile is supported by firm, ripe tannins and vibrant acidity.
