Already on the slow curve to fading away. Medium bodied, with more secondary notes of cedar, smoke, tobacco, earth and cigar wrapper, than bright red fruits. Some of the sweetness is gone, and there is a sharp, tang of acidity in the cranberry, cassis, spice and tobacco driven finish.

Château informations
Château Haut-Batailley is a 22-hectare Bordeaux wine estate located in Pauillac, Gironde. It produces Fifth Classified Growths according to the 1855 Médoc classification.
The estate was purchased by the Borie family, who also own Châteaux Grand-Puy-Lacoste and Ducru-Beaucaillou. Currently managed by François-Xavier Borie, the wine is aged for 16 to 20 months in oak barrels, partially new (30 to 40% depending on the year). The second wine is called Château La Tour L'Aspic.
