Falstaff
Powerful garnet red with violet reflections and a wide, ochre-coloured rim. Hints of candied violets and liquorice over dark forest berry jam, fine herbs, mineral notes and fresh figs. Juicy, elegant, surprisingly light-footed, ripe plums, silky tannins, mineral and viscous, a touch of nougat on the finish, accessible and youthful, firm on the finish, will benefit from further bottle ageing.
