 The 2009 Charmes-Chambertin is beautifully balanced and harmonious from start to finish. This regal, aristocratic Charmes fleshes out in all directions, showing off its considerable elegance and finesse. A persistent vein of minerality gives the wine its sense of proportion and energy. Dugat used 50% whole bunches on his Charmes. There is so much pure pleasure in every taste.

Dugat-Py is a family-owned estate. It has been established in Gevrey-Chambertin since the 17th century. Located in the heart of the great Burgundian terroirs, the estate strives to preserve the elaboration and traditions of Burgundy wines. Thirteen generations of winemakers have accumulated unparalleled expertise and continuous work over more than 10 hectares. The distinctive feature of Dugat-Py is notably found in its vines, some of which are classified as "Very Old Vines" with an average age of 65 years.

Among the numerous cuvées from this producer, we find in Burgundy Grand Cru: Chambertin "Very Old Vines", Mazis Chambertin "Very Old Vines", Charmes Chambertin "Old Vines" ... The Dugat-Py estate also produces Gevrey-Chambertin premier cru from Burgundy on many climats (Lavaux St-Jacques, Petite Chapelle, Les corbeaux and many others).
