(01-2003)
(12-2013) 1988-1989-1990. Three exceptional years for Sauternes. This wine is no exception. A light ambered yellow colour, it’s notes are very aromatic of white flowers, vanilla, very expressive. The mouth is unctuous, not too round but a great softness. The finish is incredibly long.
(04-1995) Extraordinary complexity and finesse are the hallmarks of this earth-scented, butter-laced, honeyed, lemon-flavored gem. The finish seems to never end thanks to all that great acidity. Better after 1998.
(01-2002) Lovely, floral nose ; sweet, fullish, assertive flavour, very good acidity.
(01-1998) The lighter-bodied, drier 1988 is less weighty than the 1989, with attractive, spicy, vanillin, citrus scents, medium body, and an earthy note that kept my score from going higher.
