Expert's opinions

Information on the vintage 1980 red Burgundy: 2- Uneven quality and a market still in recession. The cold New Year and spring delayed bud break. Late pickers fared best. Some surprises, but alas few wines tasted in the 1990s. If well kept, they could be fun.

Domaine du Comte Armand
The renowned Comte Armand estate has always produced powerful and rich wines. The house's famous Pommard wines, which are firm and tannic in their early years, seem to have gained in refinement under Benjamin Leroux's leadership. However, it is advisable to let them age to fully enjoy them. Their flagship wine is undoubtedly the Clos des Epeneaux, sought after by Pinot Noir enthusiasts worldwide.
