Wine Enthusiast January - 2016
Wine Enthusiast
This is a structured wine, firm with tannins and still showing some of the wood-aging. Red-berry fruits are cut with crisper blueberries and considerable acidity. This is going to be a firm wine that is lightened by the fruit, and a very good representative of the vintage.

Falstaff April - 2014
Falstaff
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate watery rim, restrained, red berry nuances, delicate herbal spice, a hint of oranges. Light-footed, red berry, fine tannins, delicate acid play, a hint of cherries on the finish, appears approachable.

Young aromas of coffee, new oak, roasted notes, red and dark berries, medium weight but with good length a tannic backbone, ripe extract and long fresh finish.

Elegant, early drinking, medium bodied Pauillac, with a floral, red berry and cassis character.

Precise; juicy, delicious, fresh, amiable, supple, fruity finish. Still somewhat marked by the maturation, but has made the best of the vintage.

Jeannie Cho Lee April - 2014
Jeannie Cho Lee
This is a fruity, velvety textured red with vibrant mixed berry fruit expression. There is freshness and lift in this vintage with supple tannins. Atractive notes of cedar and violets with a slim profile. Clerc Milon is consistently perfoming at a very high level - its vine age is close to 50 years old.

Tasted blind. Deep crimson. Dark and lifted but a bit spirity. Fine texture, just a bit dry and lean overall.

Château Clerc Milon
Since 1933, in Pauillac, Médoc, Société Baron Philippe de Rothschild has been driven by a constant ambition: to make the world's finest wines, each in its category. With its Château wines, which it manages, such as the illustrious Château Mouton Rothschild, First Growth of Pauillac, and its brilliant seconds Château Clerc Milon and Château d'Armailhac. Clerc Milon is a beautiful Pauillac, with wonderful aromatic complexity. Notes of currants, violet, freshly picked berries with a vanilla and mineral touch can be found both on the nose and palate. Clerc Milon is very well positioned to be among the best vintages of this estate. Generally quite early-maturing, the 1998 Clerc Milon is already delicious. It shows density and substance and, with incredible charm, intoxicates with subtle and intense perfumes with unmatched precision. A great, accessible Pauillac.
