Château Carbonnieux is a Bordeaux wine estate located in Léognan in the Gironde region. The Château produces its wines under the Pessac-Léognan AOC. Both its red grand vin and white wine are among the Graves classified growths in the Graves wine classification. The vineyard covers more than 92 hectares of vines, including 50 hectares for red wines with the following grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (3%); and 42 hectares are dedicated to white wines with Sauvignon Blanc (65%) and Sémillon (35%). Since 2017, Château Carbonnieux has been HVE (High Environmental Value) certified and a quarter of the area follows an organic program, while the rest uses highly sustainable farming practices. The wines of Château Carbonnieux, with their fruity, supple and elegant character, are among the finest representatives of Graves wines. The Château also produces a second wine called "La Croix de Carbonnieux" and a third wine "Château Tour Léognan".

The best vintages of Château Carbonnieux are 1945, 1961 and also the 1989 vintage. We also recommend Carbonnieux 1977, 2000, 2001 and Carbonnieux 2003.

Built at the end of the 14th century on a ridge overlooking the cool Eau-Blanche stream, Château Carbonnieux has experienced a second youth since its purchase by the Perrin family in the mid-50s. A complete renovation of the vineyard and buildings, made necessary by the general state of disrepair, was undertaken, thus restoring Château Carbonnieux to its former grace. A unique feature of the property is that they passionately produce as much red as white wine, on a deep gravel terroir that receives the utmost attention.
