Château Siran
Château Siran is a Bordeaux wine estate. Existing since the 15th century, the estate truly gained notoriety from the 17th century onwards. Château Siran has been managed by the same family for over 150 years. The Château produces its grand cru in the Margaux appellation and wines in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation. The vineyard therefore covers a total area of 36 hectares (including 11 dedicated to Bordeaux Supérieur). Produced on sandy, gravelly soil, Siran wines are typical of the great growths of the Margaux Appellation. Both powerful and refined, they always seek the perfect balance between tannins, fruit, and acidity.
Château Siran generally favors finesse, femininity, and silkiness over pure power and the virility of some Médoc wines. Château Siran is both charming in its youth and has excellent aging potential. It will surprise wine enthusiasts with the complexity of aromas developed over time. We recommend the Château Siran 1982, Château Siran 1985, and Château Siran 2002.
