Information on the vintage 1961 red Bordeaux: A great vintage often compared to the 1945s for the two have several things in common. (the weather) resulted in a harvest of small, thick-skinned, well-nourished grapes in turn producing deeply coloured, ripe but concentrated and tannic wines.

SoDivin
Beautiful garnet color, slightly light, with no trace of evolution. Still fruity but with many tertiary notes of humus and mushroom, very fine and elegant. Silky, well-integrated tannins, beautiful acidity, the balance is perfect. Long. As always, the first half of the bottle is lighter and more subtle, while the second half contains more body and richness. The pleasure is different, but both are unforgettable.
