Information on the vintage 1952 red Bordeaux: 2-
The actual growing season was very satisfactory up until September which was cold and unsettled. The harvest was fairly early and I suspect the unripeness of someof the crop is responsible for its variability: best in the Graves on the Right Bank, harder, more unyielding in the Medoc.

Clos Trimoulet

Le Clos Trimoulet has an area of 10 hectares in the town of St. Emilion. They are spread over several parcels with sandy and clay soils, which give wine structure, durability and smoothness. The vines are at 80% Merlot, 10% cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc 10%. Two-thirds of the harvest of Clos Trimoulet are subject to aging in oak barrels (20% new oak), the rest being raised in tanks. Clos Trimoulet produces a robust wine, delicate, cut Care.
