Information on the vintage 1952 red Bordeaux: 2-
The growing season was very satisfactory up until September which was cold and unsettled. The harvest was fairly early and I suspect the unripeness of some of the cro is responsible for its variability. Best in the Graves and on the Right Bank.

Lyonnat Chateau Grand Vin de Bordeaux, Lussac St. Emilion group Milhade. It is produced on a hillside vineyard of 32 hectares. Some parcels of vines are more than twenty years. Careful sorting of the grapes. - 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Chateau Lyonnat is a vin de garde that blends beautifully with red meats, game, lamb and cheeses character.
