An ideal location in Montagne Saint Emilion..."Château Beauséjour" is located on the right bank of the Dordogne, at the top of the Montagne Saint Émilion hillside, 4 km from Saint Émilion. This property is a true reference of the appellation both for the prestigious appearance of the buildings (château and wine cellar) and the exceptional location of the vineyard, which extends from the foot of Saint Martin church (11th century Romanesque, in the heart of the village of Montagne), to the foot of the 5 Calon windmills (2 of which are already perfectly restored and... functional). Very old vines...The high age of the vineyard (some plots were planted in 1901, 1902, 1934, 1946!) and this magnificent clay-limestone terroir produce a distinctive wine with great aging potential, beautifully enhanced by work carried out following Stéphane Derenoncourt's advice from the 2005 vintage onwards. Coming from this remarkable terroir, Château Beauséjour is now among the greatest wines of Bordeaux.
