This is the best Noval made in three decades and is still fairly reasonable in price considering the quality. It is powerful, rich and fruity on the palate -- almost raw. Medium ruby, with coffee and plum aromas, full-bodied, with sweet tea, coffee and plum flavors and medium tannins. It will improve with age.
A clear mahogany core with deep tawny rim. There is an engaging clarity on the nose with scents of cloves, dark honey, creme brulee, walnuts and Asian spice. Good definition and vigour. The palate is medium-bodied, very smooth on the entry with a vivacious peppery middle. Superb concentration with a viscous texture, nice build towards a clove tinged finish but lingers wonderfully long after the wine has gone.
Still very deep, with good 'legs' ; good, figgy nose; very sweet, good flesh. An excellent Noval combining the sweetness of Graham nad backbone of Taylor. Good flesh. Still tannic.
