Château Domaine Lucien Albrecht
Domaine Lucien Albrecht
The history of the ALBRECHT family began in the 15th century in 1425 with Roman Albrecht, the first winegrower established in Thann. Heir to a long dynasty, Jean Albrecht manages one of the largest estates in Alsace with around thirty hectares. Meticulous work is carried out in the vineyard following organic farming methods, and harvesting is done by hand. The estate, which owns the largest area of the Pfingstberg grand cru, including the Clos Schild, consistently produces well-balanced wines with clean, pure aromas and attractive value for money. The Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, and Riesling Reserve are undeniable sure values and are delightfully drinkable, with great fruit expression. An appealing wine that can still develop further. Our cellar dates back to 1772. It houses oak foudres over a hundred years old (the oldest from 1827) alongside new climate-controlled cellars. The vacuum bottling line benefits from the latest innovations. The golden rule of Domaine Lucien ALBRECHT: respect for the grape: The harvest is entirely done by hand. Whole grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press. Settling is static. Fermentation temperatures are controlled. The vineyard cultivation Meticulous work is devoted to vineyard cultivation with respect for nature. Jean ALBRECHT closely supervises all stages from the vineyard to the bottling of his wines.
