Gorgeous, one of the most vibrant ?95s of the tasting. Wrapped in its lactic character are lively fruit flavors of quince, pineapple, mango and ripe pear--plus lime, cilantro and some deftly crafted toast accents. It's full-bodied, with a marathon-long finish that's chewy yet elegant.
The 1995 Corton-Charlemagne is spectacular. Profound aromas of almond paste, ripe pears, white flowers, and anise are followed by a broad, medium-to-full-bodied, powerful, magnificently concentrated, and extracted core of honeysuckle blossoms, red berries, minerals, and spicy oak.
